Large nerikomi bowl was hand built, created using a nerikomi technique where clay bodies are cut and put together to create patterns. The patterned slab of clay is then formed into the final shape. This technique is very prone to cracking as the different pieces of clay become one. A great piece to combine artisan craftsmanship with functional ware. Will hold a bunch of apples!
